Carrie Reeves Williams (1898–1987)

A devoted mother from Carter County, Oklahoma, Carrie raised nine children — seven sons and two daughters. Six of her sons volunteered for military service: four in the U.S. Army, one in the U.S. Marine Corps, and one in the Oklahoma National Guard.

Her sons served in World War II, the Korean War, and in stateside support roles that kept the home front moving. Her legacy continued through her descendants, including a grandson and great‑grandson who graduated from West Point.

Carrie’s life is a testament to quiet strength, endurance, and the kind of courage that never wears a uniform but carries the weight of war all the same.
