🪖 Tribute to Prince Harry

British Armed Forces
Rank: Captain, Blues and Royals / Army Air Corps
Service: 2005–2015
Deployments: Afghanistan (two tours)

Prince Harry’s decade of military service is marked by courage, camaraderie, and a deep loyalty to those who serve. After graduating from Sandhurst, he commissioned into the Blues and Royals and later retrained as an Apache helicopter co‑pilot gunner with the Army Air Corps.

He completed two combat deployments to Afghanistan, serving first as a forward air controller and later as an Apache pilot. Those who served beside him consistently described him as a soldier who worked hard, blended in, and earned his place through discipline and grit. He shared the risks of his unit, flew missions that protected ground troops, and carried the weight of responsibility that comes with combat aviation.

His experiences shaped his lifelong advocacy for veterans and wounded service members, including the founding of the Invictus Games — a testament to the bonds forged in service.

Today we honor Captain Harry Wales, a combat veteran whose service reflects duty, resilience, and a profound respect for those who stand beside him.
