K‑9 Officer Yoki

Marion Police Department — Marion, Indiana
End of Watch: April 3, 2026

There are partners who walk beside us, and partners who carry part of our soul.
K‑9 Officer Yoki was both.

Serving with the Marion Police Department alongside her handler, Officer Scott Fletcher, Yoki embodied the quiet courage that defines the very best of our working dogs. She moved with purpose, protected with instinct, and served with a loyalty that never wavered. Every shift, every call, every moment — she gave all she had.

On April 3, 2026, Yoki’s watch came to an unexpected and heartbreaking end after a sudden illness. Despite the swift and compassionate care of Comfort Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Noel Ratliff, and the medical team who fought for her, her final moments were spent surrounded by those who loved her most.

Her department’s words say everything:
“You served well, with courage and loyalty, Yoki. Go rest easy now. You earned it, one thousand times over.”

Yoki leaves behind a legacy of service that will not fade. She protected her community with heart. She stood faithfully beside her handler. And she reminded all of us that the bond between a K‑9 and their officer is not simply professional — it is family.

Tonight, we honor her life.
We honor her service.
And we honor the love she carried into every day she worked.

Rest easy, K‑9 Officer Yoki.
Your watch is complete.
We’ll take it from here.
