Some families send one son to war. Born in 1898, Carrie raised nine children in Carter County — seven sons and two daughters — during a time when the world was changing faster than anyone could understand. She lived long enough to see her boys serve in World War II, the Korean War, and in the Oklahoma National Guard. She lived long enough to see her grandsons and great‑grandsons carry the family’s service into new generations.

Her story is not just a family story. At the center of it all was Carrie — a mother who watched her sons leave home again and again, and prayed them back each time.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ _builder_version=”4.27.6″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.27.6″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.27.6″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.6″ _module_preset=”default” text_font=”Georgia||||||||” text_text_color=”#000000″ text_font_size=”20px” text_line_height=”1.6em” global_colors_info=”{}”]

Carrie Williams

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_6,1_6,1_6,1_6,1_6,1_6″ _builder_version=”4.27.6″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”1_6″ _builder_version=”4.27.6″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.6″ _module_preset=”default” text_font=”Georgia||||||||” text_text_color=”#000000″ text_font_size=”20px” text_line_height=”1.6em” global_colors_info=”{}”]

Odell Williams

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_6″ _builder_version=”4.27.6″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.6″ _module_preset=”default” text_font=”Georgia||||||||” text_text_color=”#000000″ text_font_size=”20px” text_line_height=”1.6em” global_colors_info=”{}”]

James C.
